Picture1 is Mr. Rivera’s beloved boat “Hokulea”.
Picture2 is the school bus he drives. He painted the seascape of Kujyukushima on his bus.
There lives many US Military people in Sasebo, Nagasaki prefecture. Mr. Rivera from Kauai is one of those and has a yacht named “Hokulea”. He wants to let Hokule’a and its crewmembers see the beauty of Kujyukushima (99 islands) on the way of the canoe from Nagasaki to Fukuoka.
